CosmoLearning

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

This privacy policy describes how CosmoLearning (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated by CosmoLabs, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website at cosmolearning.org.

The short version: right now this is a coming-soon page. The only personal data you can give us is your email address, and we only use it to confirm your signup and email you about the relaunch and occasional updates — you can unsubscribe at any time. No ads, no tracking, no selling data — and that will remain true after launch.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Contact information — When you sign up for launch notifications, we collect your email address and a record of your consent (the fact that you ticked the box, when, and from which form). To keep that consent record trustworthy and prevent abuse of the form, the signup record also stores the IP address and browser information your device sent at that moment, and the approximate country derived from your IP.

That’s all. There are no accounts, profiles, payments, or content submissions on this site today.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Technical logs — Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical data (your IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to keep the site secure and prevent abuse. These logs rotate automatically on a short cycle.
  • No analytics, no tracking — We run no analytics scripts and no advertising or tracking technology of any kind.

Cookies and Local Storage

CosmoLearning sets no cookies. One small entry in your browser’s local storage remembers your light/dark theme choice — it stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Data We Collect

The following table describes the types of personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how long we keep it.

We only collect data that is necessary for the purposes described above. We do not collect more data than needed, and we delete data when it is no longer required.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Confirm your signup — a short welcome (or address-verification) email right after you subscribe
  • Notify you at launch — the email you signed up for
  • Occasional launch updates — only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time
  • Ensure security and prevent fraud or abuse of the signup form

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.

We process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Consent — You explicitly ticked the box asking us to email you. You may withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing.
  • Legitimate Interest — Keeping the site secure and functioning, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal Obligation — Keeping proof of your opt-in where the law requires it.

Third-Party Services

We use the following types of services to operate CosmoLearning. These services may process your data as described below. We do not share more data than necessary for each service to perform its function.

Service FunctionData SharedPurpose
Hosting and content-delivery providerIP addressServing the website, storing the subscriber list, and protecting against abuse
Transactional email providerEmail addressDelivering the welcome and launch-notification emails

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We select services that maintain appropriate security standards and data protection practices.

International Data Transfers

CosmoLearning is served from data centers around the world operated by our hosting and content-delivery provider. Your data may be processed in a region other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international data transfers.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

  • Subscription data — When you unsubscribe, we immediately stop emailing you and keep only a minimal suppression record (your email marked as unsubscribed) so we never contact you again. Ask us to delete your data and we remove it entirely.
  • Technical logs — Rotated automatically on a short cycle.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data:

  • Encryption in Transit — All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher.
  • Encryption at Rest — All stored personal data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
  • Access Controls — Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
  • Regular Audits — We regularly review our security practices and update them as needed.

While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information. If you have concerns about the security of your data, contact us at privacy@cosmolabs.org.
